Gnocchi

Came up with an awesome gnocchi recipe last night. It was so awesome, I ate it and fell asleep in front of the TV last night. That's how awesome it was.



Takes about 10 minutes and you'll need the following:

  • pack of gnocchi
  • sun-dried tomatoes
  • fresh basil
  • coarse ground black pepper
  • garlic
  • butter
  • fresh parmesan 
No idea what the measurements are. Cooking's more fun when you wing it.
Put some water in a pot and get it up to the boil. While you're waiting, melt some butter in a pan, on a low heat, chop up the garlic and chuck it in. Then do the same with the tomatoes and basil, and add some pepper. Grate your parmesan, but don't put it in just yet.

By now, your water is probably boiled, so put the gnocchi in it. It doesn't take long, just a few minutes. When the gnocchi is all floating on the top, that means it's done, so then you drain it in a colander or something and put it in the pan. Mix everything up a bit, add half your parmesan, mix it up some more. Tip it all out onto a plate and put the rest of the parmesan on top. My microwave has a grill thing, so I normally put it under there for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese, while I wash up and make a drink.

Then you eat it. Falling asleep is optional.
